Sunday lunch at the Boathouse Brasserie

The very mention of the word Sunday in the UK brings with it very mouth watering connotations, a day synonymous with homemade, wholesome food, warm and cosy settings and great company.

With all of these very appealing images popping into your head, your unlikely to think about the one big downside to hosting the whole family for Sunday dinner… Making it.

Making an entire Sunday lunch from scratch takes up the best part of your Sunday, for most people who work throughout the week, this time should be spent relaxing and recharging for the week ahead. Not peeling spuds!

On top of the stress caused by cooking for the whole family, playing host comes with its own set of stressors. Cleaning the house top to bottom and washing the seemingly endless amount of pots and pans post meal are two tasks that are sure to eat into your supposed day of rest.

Let Someone Else Worry About It

Wouldn’t it be great to let someone else worry about all of this? Well you can! The Boathouse Brasserie serve a dedicated Sunday lunch menu offering traditional, home made roast dinners at a more than affordable price.

Where Are We?

The Boat House Brasserie is located in the picturesque Lancashire Village of Rufford half way between Burscough and Tarleton. We offer scenic views whilst you eat as our establishment overlooks St Mary’s Marina. The canal basin has approximately 50 narrow boats at its moorings, the perfect view for a cosy Sunday lunch.

What Do We Offer?

On Sundays, the Boathouse offer four different types of traditional roast dinner. This includes Roast beef and homemade Yorkshire pudding, braised lamb shank, braised shoulder of lamb and roast chicken and stuffing. All of these roast dinners are served with roast and new potatoes along with seasonal vegetables. All of our Sunday lunches cost £11.75.
